FROM 23 TO 29 SEPTEMBER ALL OVER THE WORLD
From 23 to 29 September the biotech week is all over the world! Seven days of events, workshops, meetings and debates to tell everyone about biotechnology and its applications, revealing the key role that biotech is increasingly taking in improving the quality of our lives.
A week during which it will be possible to undertake a journey, from north to south, to discover the sector that has the innovation in its DNA.
ITALY CONFIRMS ITS PRIMACY, EXCEEDING THE THRESHOLD OF 100 EVENTS
"With more than 90 events scheduled, Italy is the country with largest number of initiatives at European level” explains Riccardo Palmisano, President of Assobiotec-Federchimica, the association that promotes and coordinates the initiative at the Italian level since its first edition. “This is an important signal demonstrating the high and growing interest in a strategic and high-innovation sector. Biotechnology guarantees economic growth, proposing itself as the engine of the country but a low-emission engine because they take care of the environment, health and safety. They can generate some ‘prejudice’ because they are not immediately understandable, so it is important to make them understandable to everyone. The aim of this event is to reach the widest possible audience and to explain the applications of biotechnologies in a clear way, with accessible language and giving examples of how the world around us is changing for the better”.
MANY APPOINTMENTS FOR DIFFERENT AUDIENCES
The program of the week is rich and heterogeneous thanks to the collaboration of many institutions, companies, schools, university and research centers, science parks, theatres, museums, foundations and associations that wanted to join the initiative by organizing an event.
The events are for different audiences: researchers and professionals but also institutions, journalists, patients, families and many students, from primary schools to universities.
